Nestled in the heart of Talco, Texas, The SoundBank Studios is a unique recording destination that blends world-class audio technology with the serene beauty of the East Texas countryside. The journey to SoundBank Studios began when local entrepreneurs, Malachi and Drea Sandoval, stumbled upon a historic, empty bank building in 2020 and saw an opportunity to bring a new wave of music production to the area. Their passion for music and their shared vision to create a destination for artists led them to transform this former bank into a creative haven.

Opening its doors in February 2024, The SoundBank Studios has quickly established itself as a premier recording facility. The 4,500-square-foot space houses multiple control rooms, including a Dolby Atmos mix room, large tracking areas, four isolation booths, and even a former bank vault converted into a vocal booth and stereo mixing room.

At the heart of The SoundBank Studios is the impressive 56-channel SSL 4000 G+ console, accompanied by an array of vintage and modern outboard gear including Neve, API, and Chandler Limited preamps, and compressors from Manley, Pultec, and Tube-Tech. The studio also boasts a well-curated mic closet with renowned models like Neumann U87s and Telefunken 251s. The space has been acoustically optimized to ensure crystal-clear recordings with minimal adjustments required during the tuning process, thanks to expert design and planning by Yanchar and Deans.

What sets The SoundBank Studios apart is that itโ€™s not just a place to recordโ€”itโ€™s a retreat for artists. The Sandovals wanted to create a space where musicians could escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and focus on their craft. With their nearby ranch and plans for a writerโ€™s retreat, complete with a cozy house and tranquil lakes, SoundBank offers a full creative experience. Whether you need solitude to focus on your next project or a place to unwind and relax by the water, the studio offers something for everyone.
